Germany – Imperial: Prussia Enlisted Man’s Model 1895 Belt Buckle, of two-piece construction, featuring a brass base, this darkened with the gilding rubbed, with a nickel-silver washed brass centrepiece affixed to the base, which has in turn been painted with a dark brown finish to prevent reflection, this bearing the inscription: “Gott Mit Uns” (God With Us) – the traditional motto of the Kingdom of Prussia and the German military, the central emblem being the Prussian Imperial Crown surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. The reverse bears no product patent details or other marks.
Condition: centrepiece slightly depressed from use, slightly rubbed, evidence of wear, overall Very Fine.
